SAVING YOUR TAX DOLLARS.

WORKING HARD FOR YOU.

ABOUT

MEET DENNIS

I decided to run for Road Superintendent, because I believed I had the skills and experience to modernize the office and improve service to the taxpayer.

Thanks to the hard-working employees in our department, we have accomplished some significant goals over the years, but our focus remains the same: protecting your tax dollars and working hard for you every day.  From clean audits every year, to 247 service, we have had lots of success.  However, there is always more work to be done.

We have important projects in the pipeline.  As our community grows, so does the need to keep up with paving, mowing, and all the other services we provide.  We can’t afford to take a step back.  We need a certified, qualified Road Superintendent who is ready to lead.

I’m running for re-election to continue the important work we have done. I hope you will support me in this election so that we continue moving the Highway Department forward, but regardless, I hope you will contact me if there is anything we can do for you.  My direct line is

ABOUT

PROTECTING YOUR
TAX DOLLARS

  • Road Superintendent Ferguson has NEVER asked for a property tax increase

  • Utilizing grants from the state, payments from insurance companies, and unique partnerships, we have secured millions of dollars to improve our infrastructure and lessen the burden on Roane County taxpayers

  • We have secured over $700,000 in grants from TVA and TDOT to combat litter.

  • We have received a clean audit from the State EVERY year I have been in office - showing every dollar spent efficiently.

WORKING HARD
FOR YOU

  • Every request for work is assigned a job number and plan of action.  Since I've taken office, the hard-working employees of the department have completed over 13,000 job orders - and we can track every single one from the time it is filed until the job is done.

  • Our employees have been certified in FirstAid/CPR and AED use, and they have first aid and survival kits in their trucks.  They are prepared to help you if the need arises.

  • While some rural counties only mow the rights-of-way once or twice a year during the mowing season, we have mowing crews going every day of the year.

  • Our crews are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for the people of Roane County
